Description:
Galway City Council are seeking to increase the number of Affordable and Social housing units through various delivery mechanisms, including the acquisition of turnkey units on greenfield/brownfield and/or unfinished housing development sites which are zoned residential. Properties will be acquired under an advanced purchased turnkey arrangement with potential phased payments. Priority will be given to projects that deliver earliest, subject to value for money considerations. The following proposal types will be considered by Galway City Council: Turnkey residential units in completed developments, or in developments due for completion in 2026, 2027 and 2028. Joint venture arrangements that include delivery of Affordable and Social homes. Splitting into phases and across multiple schemes and other arrangements, will also be considered. Any other variant proposal under advanced purchase turnkey arrangements that landowners/ builders/developers may wish to put forward for consideration.
