In advance of commencing the procurement process, Horse Racing Ireland (HRI) wishes to hold Technical Dialogues based on informal discussions with market suppliers to provide HRI with a greater understanding of the options available. HRI and the IHRB wish to review options available in the market for the upgrading and / or replacement of Hurdles in use on 23 National Hunt racecourses on the Island of Ireland, with the result that only non-birch Hurdles will be in use, where the design enhances participant safety and welfare while working well functionally in the unique conditions prevalent across the various racecourses.
