Platelet function disorders are heterogeneous in nature and require a panel of tests to aid diagnosis. Part of this panel is detection of disorders of platelet secretion. Lumiaggregometry is a bioluminescent method that assesses platelet dense granule ATP release to assess for platelet secretion defects.
