Description:
Radio Frequency (RF) plasma systems are a cornerstone of modern research and industrial manufacturing. Much of the RF plasma research carried out at Dublin City University (DCU) focuses on using advanced temporal-based plasma diagnostics allowing us to achieve significant insights into variations in plasma parameters and chemical composition. We are currently looking to upgrade our Phase Resolved Optical Emission Spectroscopy PROES system. The purchase aims to expand our diagnostic capabilities by acquiring an ICCD fast camera system. Because many commercial RF systems operate at 13.56 MHz, the diagnostic setup requires nanosecond-scale time resolution to capture rapid changes in optical emission intensity within a single RF cycle.
