- Supply of services; conservation and preservation works to a protected structure; the Sisters of Mercy Convent in Ballina, County Mayo. The proposed works comprise the repair and reinstatement of key external elements of the building, aimed at preventing further deterioration and improving weathering performance. Stained Glass Repairs - Repair of existing stained-glass windows, including the replacement of approximately 43 damaged pieces to match existing. Works will be undertaken in situ where possible, with one feature panel removed for specialist workshop repair and reinstated on completion. Timber Door Restoration (External) - Careful stripping, preparation and refinishing of 5 no. external double timber doors. Works include minor localised repairs and the application of a suitable protective stain and varnish system. Timber Sash Windows (New) - Manufacture and installation of 4 no. traditional 1-over-1 timber sash windows, including box frames, pulley, cord and counterweight systems, fitted into existing opes with minimal intervention. These are to replace the broken aluminium windows on the west elevation. Rainwater Goods - Installation of cast iron ogee gutters (client supplied) and associated downpipes, including all fixings, alignment and testing to ensure proper drainage.
