The Works involve the removal and disposal of the existing road structure, with reuse of bitumen material on site, construction of a new road surface, new concrete kerbing, and of ancillary improvements, including the refurbishment and relaying of dilapidated cast iron toe rails, taking up and relaying of granite thresholds at the entrance gate, and the taking up and relaying of cobble kerb lines along designated sections of roadway on the Entrance Road serving Whitefields Depot within Phoenix Park, Dublin 8. Whitefields entrance road works to occur out of hours on weekends to facilitate the continued operational use of the OPW Whitefields compound during normal daily work hours. Pricing, programme and traffic management plan are to reflect this.
