- St. Vincent's University Hospital requires a Germanium-68/Gallium-68 (Ge-68/Ga-68) radionuclide generator which is licensed as an "Authorised medicines for human use" by the Health Products Regulatory Authority (HPRA) in Ireland or centrally authorised for human use by the European Medicines Agency (EMA), for use with cold kit DOTA based tracers. This generator will be used to produce a Gallium-68, which is used to create DOTA based and other radiopharmaceuticals for Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scans.
