- b. Purpose and Scope of RFT HSE Southern Capital and Estates will appoint up to three (3) mechanical contractors on this framework PW CF9, with the highest-ranking mechanical contractor being awarded the original terms maintenance contract for the duration mention in section 2 (c) to provide emergency call out provision, general small works, planned and reactive maintenance service projects for all locations indicated. The Contracting Authority intends to enter into a Term Maintenance Contract with the Tenderer which is successful in the competition. Generally the works carried out would involve the provision of appropriate personnel, materials, equipment and plant for maintenance works. Additionally the mechanical contractor would be required to carry out small works projects as they arise. Where possible works can be carried and during normal working hours however due to the response nature of the works and also the nature of Health Care business there may be a requirement for works to be carried out after normal business hours and at weekends. Works are likely to include building maintenance of: Boilers, flue returns, heating circuits etc. and mechanical works in general. The HSE cannot guarantee the numbers of personnel required at any one time or what work load will be. The contractor may also be appointed as Project Supervisor for the Construction Stage according to the Safety, Health and Welfare (Construction) Regulations 2013 and any amendment or replacement (the Construction regulations). The contractor may also be appointed as Project Supervisor for the Design Process according to the Safety, Health and Welfare (Construction) Regulations 2013 and any amendment or replacement (the Construction regulations). The HSE does not make any guarantee in regard to the award of any contract and/or the volume or value of works/supply/services to be procured over the lifetime of the contract. The Contracting Entity reserves the right to award minor works packages direct to the successful tender up to a max value of €50k. Please note additional resources may be required for additional projects less than €50k that may arise during the lifetime of this contract, these resources must be separate to those submitted for the day to day works. The Contracting Entity also reserves the right to procure requirements falling within the scope of the Contract outside the Contract.
