- The Contractor shall provide a comprehensive indoor plant maintenance service across the Contracting Authority’s buildings, ensuring that all plants are maintained in a healthy, safe, and presentable condition at all times within a live operational environment. The scope of services shall include, but not be limited to, the following: • Routine watering of all indoor plants in accordance with species-specific requirements and seasonal conditions. • Monitoring of plant health and condition, including early identification and treatment of pests, disease, nutrient deficiencies, or environmental stress. • Pruning, trimming, cleaning, and shaping of plants to maintain appearance, safety, and growth. • Application of fertilisers and approved plant treatments where required, in compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation. • Soil and growing media management, including top-dressing, replenishment, and replacement where necessary. • Potting, re-potting, and stabilisation of plants as required to support healthy growth. • Removal and environmentally responsible disposal of dead or failing plant material. • Replacement recommendations for plants that cannot be restored to a healthy condition, subject to approval by the Contracting Authority. • Maintenance of planters and containers, including cleaning and ensuring stability and safety. • Safe execution of all works within occupied buildings during normal operating hours, with minimal disruption to building users. • Provision of a scheduled maintenance programme and attendance at agreed service intervals. • Reporting of maintenance activities, plant condition, and any issues requiring remedial action. All works shall be carried out by suitably trained and experienced personnel, using appropriate equipment and materials, and in full compliance with applicable health and safety and environmental regulations.
