The Contracting Entity is undertaking a competitive tender process to award a Contract to meet the following requirements: The unit is a Psychiatric Unit. The unit is secure- meaning patient areas are locked with entry and exit being controlled. Patients are not long term residents of the unit but are admitted to the unit as they cannot be managed on the acute inpatient wards due to the level of risk the patient poses to themselves and/or to others. Description of the works: The project includes Anti Ligature mitigation works to mitigate the risk of self harm and suicide within the unit including the following works: 1. Replacement of 48 door sets with anti-ligature door sets 2. Alterations to rewire of electrical system to adapt anti ligature doors. Please note no works are guaranteed as these works will be done at the discretion of the contract owner in CUH. Further details of the Contracting Entity's requirements are provided in Section 3.
