- This single-party framework seeks a qualified consultant for a 4-year period for a Paludiculture pilot under an EU Horizon-Funded initiative called PALUS DEMOS. This project is a unique opportunity to explore new agricultural practices suitable for Connemara which can go hand in hand with peatland restoration/rewetting. It focuses on sustainable wetland crop cultivation and aims to explore viable agricultural methods for various wetland crop species. The project would include working on several crops, such as cranberries, aronia berries and sphagnum moss, in various conditions to establish viability parameters. Carbon sequestration and GHG emissions will be a key aspect. Please refer to the tender documentation for requirements
