- Screen Ireland is inviting proposals from suitably qualified organisations with the necessary skills and expertise to compile the Study. The Study will focus on the audiovisual screen based creative industries, which include, but are not limited to, film, television, documentary, and gaming. The objectives of the Study are to: · Assess and map the scale and contribution of the sector in terms of economic activity, production activity and employment levels. · Provide strong reliable evidential data in its assessment of the scale and contribution of the sector including direct, indirect and induced impact. · Provide strong reliable evidential data in its assessment on skills needs and opportunities, including mapping of current skills/educational provisions for the sector incorporating a skills gap analysis across the film, television, documentary, animation and video games sectors. · Consider the current strengths of the sector and the potential for the sector to expand and grow as well as challenges, both global and domestic. · Contribute to consideration of Screen Ireland’s policy in the area putting forward recommendations to maximise opportunities and address challenges where applicable.
