- The purpose of this tender is to engage a consultant/consultancy to conduct a review of challenge based research funding provided by the Government of Ireland's international development aid programme, Irish Aid. Irish Aid has collaborated with the Irish Research Council (IRC) and Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) in competitive challenge based research calls, and the consultant(s) will review these partnerships and provide recommendations for the future implementation of similar research in partnership between Irish Aid and Taighde Éireann / Research Ireland. Irish Aid’s research funding is managed by the Policy Unit in the Development Cooperation and Africa Division (DCAD), and the consultant will work with the relevant team members in the unit, as well as external stakeholders throughout the consultancy.
