The IRDG Innovation Skillnet aims to provide relevant training and opportunities for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) at a competitive price and to ensure that all members and those involved in the innovation, research, and development profession are provided with the opportunity to keep pace with the ever-changing world of work and raise the level of technical education, skills and knowledge around innovation, research, and development. It provides a forum where organisations can collaborate, network, and promote best practice in competencies and skills. We will do this by developing and delivering world-class training for existing and emerging innovation leaders, by supporting the adoption of ISO innovation management frameworks, and by addressing non-technical industry-specific or general innovation skills. We know that building and developing skills and capability is a long-term driver of innovation and the network will continue to work collaboratively with companies to share best practice and to respond effectively to their business skills needs. Subjects covered include: • Design Thinking • Systems / Complexity Thinking • Lean Product Development, Lean Innovation • Technological Innovation (5G, AI, Machine Learning, IoT) • Innovation Leadership • Strategic Innovation • Innovation as a driver of Sustainability • Digital Transformation • Innovation Management (ISO 56002) • Applications of Artificial Intelligence • Creativity Our primary goal is to empower individuals involved in innovation, research, and development within industry. We strive to enhance the skills of professionals across diverse fields while also supplying the industry with capable individuals who can deliver quantifiable outcomes resulting in measurable and long-lasting advantages. This initiative will be responsive to crucial areas of concern identified by our members. It will consist of practical shared learning experiences tailored for multiple sectors within all member organisations
