Description:
Dublin City Council (DCC) is seeking competent persons/organisation to manage the pavilion, tennis courts and padel courts in Bushy Park as a community facility to promote and increase local participation in padel and tennis. The facilities consist of a pavilion which is used as a recreational facility for tennis and padel, four floodlit padel courts and eight double floodlit tennis courts. All of these facilities were refurbished/installed in the past 6 years and are to a high standard. Previous experience in managing similar facilities will be taken into account and assessment of the tenders received will result in the granting of a licence to an operator to manage the facility for initially for two years. However, Dublin City Council reserves the right not to proceed with the competition or not to grant a licence. Members of the public are currently able to access the courts from the pavilion on a “pay and play” basis. A percentage of all income will be sought from the operator as part of the management fee. This fee will be subject to review and subject to annual audited accounts being submitted by the licensee. Exceptions to the above include the implementation of certain prearranged events with the agreement of Dublin City Council, including but not limited to, the Dublin Parks Tennis League programmes. Any such user so accommodated by the operator shall produce satisfactory insurance indemnifying Dublin City Council against all claims for injury or damage to any person or property arising from such authorised use. Any person who wishes to use the tennis courts for coaching, including but not limited to, tennis coaches, must receive prior approval from Dublin City Council, clearance from an Garda Síochána and must produce satisfactory insurance indemnifying Dublin City Council against all claims for injury or damage to any person or property arising from such authorised use of the tennis courts for coaching.
