The HSE Sexual Health and Crisis Pregnancy Programme funds the HSE MyOptions service in addition a to unplanned pregnancy counselling services in over 20 locations nationwide. The My Options service has been operational since late 2018. It is a free phone line operating for women and people affected by an unplanned pregnancy. It provides information about abortion provision; offers counselling and listening support; signposts to services; and also provides a 24/7 nursing service. My Options is a HSE free phone line currently operating for women and people affected by an unplanned pregnancy. The Information and Counselling Service will operate from 9am to 8pm Monday to Thursday, 9am to 7pm on Friday and Saturday from10am to2pm. The service is staffed by qualified accredited Counsellors. The nursing service is will operate 24/7 and will be staffed by nurses or midwives. My Options is a first point of contact for those seeking support and information or counselling for unplanned pregnancy related queries. If a caller decides that a termination is their best option and they meet the legislative requirements, My Options shall provide details of the doctors (with the consent of the doctors) providing termination of pregnancy (ToP) services, in their preferred location.
