Clonakilty Library is looking for shelving for both adult and children’s books. This tender refers to a contract for the design, supply, delivery and installation of shelving and furniture for Clonakilty Library in County Cork. We are asking for the submission of proposals for the design, delivery and installation of: Adult library area, shelving. Clonakilty Library has a stock of approx.13,000 books. Children’s library area, shelving. Clonakilty Library has a stock of approx. 11,000 books. The floor area for Clonakilty Library is 186m2. The library occupies a central location in the town. It is open for 40 hours per week and has 5 staff members. Clonakilty Library is a flexible, multiuse community space, which welcomes a variety of users of all age groups. The library space needs to be adaptable for both large and small groups, various activity levels from individual study or activities such as reading groups, family time, craft groups etc. A flexible shelving layout is necessary to allow for easy monitoring of the space with the ability to section off floor areas if required. Shelving layouts should be moveable as much as possible to allow for easy reconfiguration.
