Description:
The overall Pre acceleration programme will be comprising of four thematically specific and standalone pre accelerators aligned to each of the SETU gateways which should be specifically designed to support the early stage start up ecosystem in the south east region. Pre acceleration activity will identify ideas and founders that have potential to become high potential startups. The programme should be the design and delivery of suitable and innovative pre-acceleration activity aligned to each of the four SETU Technology Gateways, which are 1. Design and Technology Gateway, 2. Pharmaceutical and Molecular Biotechnology Research Center 3. South Eastern Applied Materials Research Centre 4. Walton Institute Over the course of the programme, participants will gain a better understanding of an entrepreneurial career path, be provided with best in class tools to think clearly about the opportunities they wish to pursue, be exposed to world class insights and experience from industry veterans, and be signposted towards right sized supports appropriate to their stage of development. Pre acceleration Objectives The objective of pre acceleration is to foster an entrepreneurial mindset, introduce start-up tools and methodologies, validate problem solution fit, build ecosystem engagement and accelerate early stage ventures to the next phase of their development. The purpose of pre acceleration programmes is to deliver against the following objectives -Introduce entrepreneurial tools and techniques to participants with a start-up concept -Introduce methods of working collaboratively as part of a commercially focused team -Expose teams to entrepreneurial role models that have succeeded -Expand participants networks and -Encourage engagement with regional and nationally relevant stakeholders. -Progress to an accelerator programme other enterprise supports
