The Works also include investigation and sectional pressure testing of approximately 13 km of retained existing watermains, inspection and exercising of existing valves, replacement of 125 consumer meters and meter boxes with associated marker stones and identification plates, and provisional replacement of 25 existing sluice valves at locations instructed by the Employer’s Representative. Additional investigation, repairs and remedial works shall be undertaken only when instructed in accordance with the Contract. Maintain the existing water supply so far as practicable and coordinate shutdowns, temporary supplies and reconnections with the Group Water Scheme, Employer’s Representative and affected consumers. Full-width surface dressing shall be priced separately as optional work and excluded from the core tender total. Booster-pump works are excluded.
