The school was founded in 1882. The original school building was built in 1936 and a 10 classroom extension was built in 1984. This project entails works in decommissioning and replacing the existing space heating installation and heating centre in the building. Refer to the drawings for further information on the works to be carried out. • Decommissioning and removal of the floor mounted oil boiler in the existing boilerhouse, all associated heating services pipework, controls, heating plant, etc. • Decommission and removal of the existing flue for the existing oil boiler in the boilerhouse that is to be decommissioned and removed. • Decommissioning and removal of all the existing heating flow pipework and heating return pipework in the boilerhouse including headers, pumps, controls, etc. • Decommissioning and replacing of the existing MCC controls panel with a new MCC controls panel. • Decommissioning, stripping out and removal from site of the existing radiator circuits, radiators and all associated heating services pipework for the heating services installation throughout the building. • Supply and installation of new wall mounted gas condensing boilers in a cascade arrangement in replacement of the existing oil boiler in the boilerhouse. • Supply and installation of new heating plant, pipework, pumps, etc. in the boilerhouse. • Supply and installation of new flues to suit the new gas condensing boilers. • Supply and installation of new gas detection system in the boilerhouse. • Supply and installation of a new pressurisation unit and expansion vessels for the new installation. • Supply and installation of new heating services flow and return pipework throughout the building to suit the new radiators that are to be installed. • Supply and installation of all the new steel panel radiators, radiator circuits and all associated pipework for the new heating services installation throughout building as indicated on the drawings. • Supply and installation of all two-port valves and associated thermostats to control the heating in rooms as indicated on the drawings. • All associated preliminaries. • All decommissioning works associated with the works. • All associated electrical works as indicated on the drawings and detailed in the specifications. • All builders’ works associated with the above. See ‘Builders Work Schedule’ in ‘Volume C1 – Pricing Schedule’ for further details. • Acting as Project Supervisor Construction Stage for the project. • Any other works and items associated with the works as identified on the drawings and the specifications. | EN |
