Storing archive documents in special archive folders, which are acid-free, helps prevent the deterioration of the document. Each time a document is taken out and handled it deteriorates, and folders protect the documents and reduce risk. This is especially important when archives are retrieved from the archive repository, as the folders act as an enclosure to protect the documents as they are transported from the repository to the Reading Room. We are looking to procure 40,000 size 1 (2 flap) and 20,000 size 2 (4 flap) folders, with half of the folders delivered in 2024 and half in 2025. | EN |
