The University of Limerick wishes to to engage with well established Developers/Investors suitably qualified with an interest in developing accommodation schemes of 250+ bedrooms to be sold or leased to UL on a long term basis on University lands or immediately adjacent.
A very broad outline of UL’s requirements is as follows:
(a) Accommodation for up to 750 students in an apartment block, low/high rise settings across one or multiple sites with ancillary support services. We have a site suitable for a high-rise, high-density development (subject to panning permission) which could potentially cater for 750 students in one development. We are open to market feedback on potential solutions.
(b) It is a distinct advantage if these requirements could be met in the next 2.5 to 3 years.
(c) A minimum of 250 students need to be accommodated in any solution presented and accommodate up to 750 students.
(d) Any accommodation provided on a leasehold basis must be provided on a long lease to UL. Property would need to move to University of Limerick ownership following the end of any lease agreement.
